New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard is certainly living up to his nickname of "Thor."
The young righty not only had everything going for him on the mound on Wednesday, pitching 7.1 scoreless innings in a win over the Philadelphia Phillies, but also hit his first major-league home run.
And it was no dinker.

Syndergaard, who bats left-handed, smashed a ball to left-center, which is by no means an easy feat for a pitcher to clear the opposite-field wall.
ESPN estimates that the ball traveled 430 feet, further than both of Mets first baseman Lucas Duda's blasts on the day.
Syndergaard's blast marks the first time in three years that a Mets pitcher has homered, as noted during SNY's telecast.
