Verlander saw Kate Upton all night
Kate Upton has been all over the baseball scene, most recently making an appearance at Game 5 of the American League Division Series between the Athletics and the Tigers in Oakland.
It wasn’t Upton herself, though. A couple of Athletics fans brought giant cutouts of Upton’s face to Thursday’s game at the O.co Coliseum, presumably to distract Tigers starting pitcher Justin Verlander, who was romantically linked to her earlier in the year.

It didn't distract him, and it might've motivated him. Verlander took a no-hitter into the seventh and pitched the Tigers into the ALCS.
This didn't work either.
Verlander and Upton were pretty cozy for a while, but the 21-year-old Sports Illustrated swimsuit model apparently has soured on him, and may now have a thing for her "cousins": BJ and Justin Upton of the Braves. Or 84-year-old Arnold Palmer.
We just hope she doesn't feel objectified by the cutouts.
