Umpire Jerry Layne leaves Braves-Dodgers game

LOS ANGELES (AP) Umpire Jerry Layne removed himself from Thursday night's Dodgers-Atlanta Braves game in the third inning because of an injured calf.

Layne was replaced at first base by Mike Estabrook, who had started out at second.
