Published Aug. 29, 2013 1:00 a.m. ET

Minnesota Twins LF Josh Willingham has been claimed on trade waivers by an unknown team, a major-league source told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune’s Phil Miller.

According to the report, the source has not revealed which team has won the claim, but only one team is allowed to negotiate a trade for Willingham.

The 6-foot-2 slugger hit .214/.346/.390 in 89 games this summer and is still owed at least $8 million through the 2014 season.

Willingham, 34, hit 35 home runs and 110 RBIs in 2012.
