Tony Reagins hired as MLB's senior VP for youth programs

NEW YORK (AP) Former Los Angeles Angels general manager Tony Reagins has been hired by Major League Baseball in the new position of senior vice president for youth programs.

Reagins will report to MLB Chief Operating Officer Tony Petitti, the commissioner's office said Tuesday.

With the Angels, Reagins was director of player development for six years, then ran the Angels' baseball operations from 2008-11.
