Tomas' 1st 2-homer game carries D-backs to 7-3 win

SAN DIEGO (AP) Yasmany Tomas homered twice, drove in three runs and scored three times to lead the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 7-3 victory against the San Diego Padres on Sunday.

Brandon Drury had a two-run homer, a triple and scored twice for the Diamondbacks, who bounced back from Saturday night's 5-3, 14-inning loss to take two of three.

Patrick Corbin (1-1) outdueled Robbie Erlin (1-2) in a matchup of lefties, allowing three runs, one earned, on six hits in 6 2/3 innings. He struck out seven and walked three.

Tomas, who defected from Cuba in 2013, had the first two-homer game of his two-season big league career. They were also his first of the season.

Erlin allowed six runs and eight hits in six innings, struck out four and walked one.
