Tim Tebow Hits Home Run on First Pitch in Instructional League (Video)
The legend of Tim Tebow has begun for the New York Mets after he hit a home run in his first at-bat.
Tim Tebow is no stranger to doing the impossible on the football field. After making the career change to baseball, he looks to still have the magic touch. On the first pitch that Tebow saw in instructional league for the Mets, he was able to hit an opposite field home run.
It is going to be a challenge to properly judge Tebow as a baseball player as of now. Due to not playing the game for a decade, there is going to be a lot of rust. The one thing that we know early on about Tebow’s baseball skills is that he has power.
One of the criticisms of him as a quarterback was that he had too much muscle. Some believed that the muscle affected his throwing motion, which was rather slow to develop. At the plate in baseball, that muscle is going to help him be a power-hitter.

The home run was also rather impressive that it was to the opposite field against a left-handed pitcher. We frequently see left-handed batters be unable to hit the ball to the opposite field, and teams will utilize the shift on defense to their advantage.
Time will tell whether or not Tebow is able to have success as a baseball player. However, his legend will continue to grow after hitting a home run on his first pitch in instructional league.
