Tigers rookie brings his mom to tears with his first MLB hit
Tigers rookie JaCoby Jones crushed the first hit of his major-league career in Tuesday’s 8-4 win over the White Sox. And his parents were in the stands to witness it.
After grounding out in the second inning and popping out in the fifth inning of his first MLB game, the 24-year-old Jones laced an RBI double in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie. It was all a little too overwhelming for Jones’ mother, and the tears of joy came pouring out.

And that wasn't all for Jones, who also delivered an RBI single in the seventh inning.
Just think about all of those Little League practices, all the games of catch in the back yard, the countless miles logged during travel tournaments and the years spent in the minors. And then imagine you get to witness a moment like this in person. Pretty incredible.
