Tigers, Polanco edge Royals after Harwell honored

The Detroit Tigers gave their fans plenty to cheer about Wednesday night.

First the team honored long-time radio announcer Ernie Harwell, then the Tigers went out and beat the Kansas City Royals 4-3 to maintain their lead in the AL Central.
