Tigers know AL Central race far from over

Jim Thome is a Dodger, and the American League Central race is unofficially one team lighter.

The Tigers are the favorite, and the Twins are the only threat left.

At least, most people think so.

"Chicago won't be out of it," Tigers manager Jim Leyland insisted on Tuesday. "It's going to go right down to the wire, like we've said all year.
