Series TV rating sinks for Game 4, then rebounds

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) The television rating for Game 4 between San Francisco and Kansas City dropped to a 6.3, a low for this year's World Series, then rebounded to a 7.3 in Game 5 as the Giants took a 3-2 lead.
San Francisco's 11-4 win in the fourth game drew 10.7 million viewers on Saturday night, according to fast national ratings from Nielsen Media Research announced by Fox on Monday. Saturday traditionally is a night when fewer people are watching television.
The Giants' 5-0 victory Sunday was seen by an average of 12.6 million viewers, the second-highest of the Series behind 12.6 million for Game 2.
The opener earned a 7.3 rating, a record low for a Game 1, and was followed by a 7.9 for Game 2 and a 7.2 for Game 3.
The five games are averaging a 7.2 rating and 12.1 million viewers. Fox said coverage on Fox Deportes is averaging a record 248,000 viewers, up from 203,000 last year.
