Rosenthal: Mariners plan to interview ex-Angels GM Dipoto about position

The Seattle Mariners hope to find a replacement for recently fired general manager Jack Zduriencik after the season concludes. One of the names they intend on pursuing, according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, is Jerry Dipoto.

Dipoto resigned as GM of the Los Angeles Angels back on July 1 and he should have no shortage of suitors interested in his services.

The M's parted ways with Zduriencik on August 28 as a result of their inability to make good on all the preseason promise heaped their way.

As for the Angels, they're also looking to fill their front office vacancy as quickly as possible.
