Rockies OF Blackmon goes on 15-day DL with turf toe

DENVER (AP) The Colorado Rockies put outfielder Charlie Blackmon on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with turf toe on his left foot.
The Rockies recalled catcher Dustin Garneau from Triple-A Albuquerque to fill Blackmon's roster spot.
Blackmon was hurt diving back into second base in the eighth inning of Colorado's 10-6 win over San Francisco on Wednesday. He scored on Nolan Arenado's home run but he did not play the field in the ninth.
He went 2 for 5 with a double and triple in the win to raise his average to .185.

Blackmon had previously gone on the disabled list with turf toe in his right foot on 2012.
Garneau's first recall was Aug. 20, 2015, the same day he made his major league debut. He batted .157 in 22 games for Colorado last seas
