Report: Romero re-signing with Phils

Free-agent reliever J.C. Romero agreed to terms on a deal to stay with the Phillies, CSN Philadelphia reported late Sunday.

Philly declined the 34-year-old lefty's $4.5 million contract option for 2011 in the aftermath of last season. But the Phillies agreed to terms with Romero after a deal with former Cardinal Dennys Reyes fell flat.

Romero had a 3.68 ERA in 60 appearances coming off an injury-plagued 2009 season.
