Cuban infielder Hector Olivera agreed to a six-year, $62.5 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday. But there reportedly will be an additional year added to the deal if concerns about Olivera's health become reality.
Olivera was a hot property as a free agent, but some red flags were raised amid reports of a possible elbow injury.
According to MLB.com, a recent MRI exam did reveal a slight tear to the ulnar collateral ligament in Olivera's throwing elbow. As a result, the Dodgers included a clause for a seventh year at $1 million if Olivera needs Tommy John surgery.

The Dodgers have yet to confirm the agreement, which includes a $28 million signing bonus.
