Redskins GM discusses where Bryce Harper would play on the football field

Published May. 7, 2015 11:35 p.m. ET

Bryce Harper is listed at 6’2” and 230 lbs. He has a lot of power, and he shows some pretty good athletic ability out in right field. So where would he play on the football field? Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan was on the Grant & Danny Show on 106.7 The Fan, and he answered that question.

“Ehhhhh, probably strong safety,” McCloughan said. “But, I went to a game two weeks ago, and he flipped his hips and caught a fly ball out in right field in the corner, and I thought, maybe corner. But I’m thinking, uhh, okay, no, he’s gotta be a safety. He’s a white guy.”
