CINCINNATI (AP) The Reds placed four starters on the disabled list Sunday - including top returning pitcher Anthony DeSclafani - as part of their moves to get to the 25-man roster limit.

DeScalafani, left-hander John Lamb, and right-handers Michael Lorenzen and Jon Moscot were expected to compete for the rotation. Moscot is recovering from surgery on a back disc in December.

DeScalfani has a strained left oblique, Lorenzen has a sprained pitching elbow, and Moscot has a strained ribcage.

The Reds also put outfielder Yorman Rodriguez and catcher Kyle Skipworth on the 15-day DL. They sent catcher Ramon Cabrera, infielder Jose Peraza, and right-handers Dayan Diaz and Tim Melville to Triple-A Louisville. They promoted outfielder Tyler Holt and catcher Jordan Pacheco, and designated outfielder Jake Cave for assignment.
