BOSTON (AP) The Boston Red Sox have activated right fielder Shane Victorino from the 15-day disabled list before Friday's game against Houston.

The 34-year old Victorino was placed on the DL on May 24 with a strained left calf.

To make room, the club optioned outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. to Triple-A Pawtucket.

The Red Sox placed catcher Blake Swihart on the 15-day DL with a sprained left foot and selected right-hander Noe Ramirez from Pawtucket.
