Recent skid hasn't stopped Cubs ticket office from playoff preparation
The Cubs might have lost their hold on a wild-card spot, but a franchise that hasn't tasted the postseason since 2008 isn't giving up just yet. In fact, the club's ticket office is pushing forward with postseason preparation.
A Cubs season-ticket holder shared a letter he received from his Cubs season ticket holder representative.

Dear Ed Nickow,
It has been an encouraging year as we progress on our long-term plan of sustained success. While there is a lot of baseball left to play, in order to be ready for the prospect of postseason play, we will be taking some initial steps in the coming weeks.
You will receive additional communications throughout August which will include details about the invoice process and timeline as well as a fact sheet and frequently asked questions document.
It's exciting to see our plan start to unfold at the Major League level as our team continues to make solid progress on the field. We look forward to seeing you soon at Wrigley Field!
The Cubs enter the final day of July two game back of the San Francisco Giants for the National League's second wild-card spot.
