CLEVELAND (AP) The Cleveland Indians have brought up left-hander Bruce Chen from Triple-A Columbus to start against Minnesota.

The 37-year-old will be pitching Saturday for his 11th major league team. He has an 82-80 career record in 16 seasons.

Chen signed a minor league contract on Feb. 18, but didn't make the team in spring training and agreed to take an assignment to Columbus. He was 2-1 with a 1.74 ERA in five starts with the Clippers.

Right-hander Anthony Swarzak was designated for assignment. He had no record and a 3.38 ERA in 10 relief appearances.
