Pirates prospect somehow turns double play while falling backwards

Baseball fans are treated to some outstanding glove work in the big leagues, but those working their way up the ranks can flash the leather, too.

Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Stephen Alemais, who plays for the team's Single-A affiliate, the West Virginia Black Bears, turned one of the best double plays in all of baseball this year. The catcher fielded a bunt, threw a one-hopper to Alemais at second, who fired to first while falling to the ground.

Somehow, his throw was on target for a spectacular 2-6-3 double play with some serious flare. The 21-year-old was a third-round pick in the 2016 draft.
