Pirates' Francisco Liriano spun around like a top trying to locate a grounder

Published May. 19, 2016 8:10 a.m. ET

Pittsburgh Pirates starter Francisco Liriano made one of the best between-the-legs catches you'll ever see back in 2013. On Wednesday night, he tried to make a similar snag, but the grounder went off his leg and he had absolutely no clue where the ball went.

The hit came off the bat of Daniel Castro, who was able to leg out a single thanks to Liriano's confusion.

It only took him two spins to figure out that his catcher knew where the ball was and made the throw to first.
