WASHINGTON (AP) The Baltimore Orioles have put pitcher Chris Tillman on the 15-day disabled list, as expected.

Tillman has been bothered by bursitis in his right shoulder. The Orioles made the move Wednesday and recalled right-hander Mike Wright.

Tillman is on the DL retroactive to Aug. 21. He is 15-5 with a 3.76 ERA this season.

The 26-year-old Wright was 3-3 with a 3.17 ERA in 11 starts for Triple-A Norfolk. He's expected to fill a bullpen role for the Orioles.

The Orioles said Ubaldo Jimenez would start Thursday against Max Scherzer and the Washington Nationals. The 32-year-old righty last started on July 28.

Jimenez is 5-10 with a 6.94 ERA in 22 appearances this season. He's 4-0 with a 0.92 ERA in four career starts at Nationals Park.
