Nats add McKeon, Robertson to front office staff

The Nationals are adding front office members this offseason. They had been short-staffed, particularly on the pro scouting side.

They also hired Jay Robertson as a special assistant to general manager Mike Rizzo. He held a similar position with the Texas Rangers for the past eight years.

Earlier this month, they added Roy Clark, a respected executive with the Atlanta Braves, as their new vice president of player personnel. The team also hired Johnny DiPuglia to be their director of Latin American operations and Doug Harris as director of player development.

McKeon had worked for the Rockies for the past seven seasons, most recently as a special assistant to GM Dan O'Dowd.
