Minor league game postponed by circus lights

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) The circus coming to town has caused a minor league baseball game to be postponed.

Friday night's Florida State League Class-A game between Clearwater and Tampa at Steinbrenner Field was called due to flashing lights on a tall circus tent near the stadium behind the right-center and center field wall.

The decision to postpone was made after umpires and officials from both teams reviewed the matter.

Tampa is a New York Yankees' minor league team that plays in the major league team's spring training complex.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Saturday.
