David Wright and Daniel Murphy are out of the Mets' lineup because of injuries, leaving New York without two of its top hitters for the opener of a three-game series against Atlanta.

Mets manager Terry Collins says he's not sure how long either one will be sidelined.

Both players left Sunday's 11-3 win at Dodger Stadium. The slumping Wright, a seven-time All-Star, had a muscle spasm on the right side of his neck that he says is getting better. Murphy, who leads the NL in hits, was removed late in the game due to tightness in his right calf and says he is day to day. He expected to be examined by a doctor Tuesday.

Eric Campbell was set to replace Wright at third base and bat third against the Braves. Wilmer Flores shifted over from shortstop to Murphy's spot at second, with Ruben Tejada starting at shortstop.
