Mets' Hessman loses HR on replay, given a triple

Mike Hessman of the New York Mets has lost a home run after a lengthy video replay review at Citi Field.

Hessman circled the bases after his long drive in the fifth inning of Friday night's game against Philadelphia. Phillies left fielder Raul Ibanez argued right away, saying a fan had reached over the railing above the wall and interfered with the ball.

Three umpires went look at the replay, came back after more than six minutes and huddled again on the field. The umps then put Hessman on third base with his first major league triple.

Phillies starter Cole Hamels warmed up during the delay. In all, it took more than 10 minutes between pitches.
