McCutchen collects 1000th hit

Andrew McCutchen is having one of the worst months of his career, but on Wednesday night there was a silver lining as McCutchen accomplished a career milestone – 1,000 career hits.

“It just means I've been able to play long enough,” McCutchen told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “I've had the opportunity to play five-plus years.”
