Martinez hopes his Jheri curl makes it on Cooperstown plaque

Pedro Martinez is a Hall of Famer with Hall of Fame hair.

The former Boston Red Sox pitcher was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Tuesday, and he already has some ideas about how he’d like to be honored on his Cooperstown plaque. While the three-time Cy Young, eight-time All-Star, five-time ERA champion and three-time strikeout champion has an outrageous number of accomplishments to be proud of, the dominating right-hander might be most proud of his hair.

While Martinez’s hair no longer spills out from under a Red Sox cap, he told TMZ Sports on Wednesday that he hopes his famous Jheri curl look is displayed on his plaque.

“I have no idea to be honest,” Martinez told TMZ Sports. “I wish. It was great, it was amazing. That’s how people pretty much saw my face all the time. I look at it and I laugh, it’s me!”
