Marlins RHP Flores leaves with right shoulder strain

WASHINGTON (AP) Miami Marlins right-hander Kendry Flores exited Saturday's doubleheader nightcap against the Nationals with a right shoulder strain.

Recalled from Triple-A New Orleans to serve as the Marlins' 26th player and Game 2 starter, Flores went three innings in his 2016 debut.

He allowed one hit, walked three and left with a 3-0 lead. The team said he is day-to-day.

Flores, 24, posted a 4.97 ERA in seven games with Miami in 2015.

Washington won the opener 6-4.
