Marlins' Ramirez may be done for season

Florida Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez may be done for the season.

Ramirez is receiving treatment for a sore left elbow and manager Edwin Rodriguez says it doesn't make sense to put him back in the lineup if he isn't feeling better.

Ramirez told the manager that he felt worse after playing on Tuesday night following a four-game absence. Rodriguez says that isn't a good sign for the 26-year-old star to return with 11 games left in the season.

Rodriguez said Ramirez could pinch-run and still classified him as ''day-to-day'' during this weekend's series in Milwaukee beginning Thursday night.

Ramirez is hitting .300 with 21 homers, 76 RBIs and 32 steals this season in 141 games.
