Marlins' Derek Dietrich hit in the head by foul ball in the dugout
Miami Marlins second baseman Derek Dietrich was hit in the head by a foul ball off the bat of teammate Christian Yelich in the ninth inning Sunday.
The foul ball apparently split the opening at the steps of the dugout then bounced off the back wall and struck Dietrich in the back of the head. He was examined by doctors and was up and moving after lying face down for several minutes

It appears Dietrich escaped serious injury. According to MLB.com, X-rays came back negative but Dietrich will remain in Atlanta for further evaluation.
"Everyone's thoughts are with him," Tom Koehler (3-5) told reporters after the game. "Hopefully it's just a headache and nothing serious."
Dietrich was one of the key contributors to the Marlins' win Sunday. He hit a tiebreaking, two-run homer and drove in four runs before the scary incident.
Dietrich, 26, is in his fourth year in the majors. He's hitting .325 with three homers and 22 RBI this season.
