Marisnick joins Altuve as another Astro dealing with hamstring issue

The Houston Astros may be working on a five-game winning streak, but they're also getting zapped by hamstring injuries.

Outfielder Jake Marisnick left Thursday's win over the Colorado Rockies with left hamstring discomfort - joining Jose Altuve as an Astro dealing with a pesky injury of the same type

Marisnick told Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle that he suffered the injury in the eighth inning 'lunging' to beat out a sac bunt: “I felt al (sic) little something in there. I guess we’ll see how it feels tomorrow and go from there. I’m not sure (how bad it is). I definitely felt it. I have ice on it now so I can’t really feel much."

With Houston having played two games in the thin air of Coors Field in Colorado, manager A.J. Hinch was looking forward to getting his club out of town: “I can’t wait to get out of here with the altitude and the fatigue level that we’re at. So I’m not sure how (Marisnick is) going to be. I was a little frustrated to have to take him out of the game because of his elite defense and contributing on offense. He didn’t feel good and felt something grab in his hamstring.”

Apparently, hamstrings and high altitude (at least with players not accustomed to playing there very often) don't mix well.
