Mariners' Nelson Cruz homers for 4th straight game

LOS ANGELES (AP) Seattle's Nelson Cruz has homered for the fourth straight game to match the longest streak of his career.

Cruz drove a 3-2 pitch from David Huff over the glove of a leaping Carl Crawford at the left-field fence in the first inning of Tuesday night's game at Dodger Stadium. The previous night, Cruz homered in his first two plate appearances against Brandon McCarthy before the Mariners lost 6-5 in 10 innings.

Cruz signed a $47 million, four-year contract with the Mariners in December after hitting a career-high 40 homers last season for Baltimore.
