SEATTLE (AP) The Mariners have acquired minor league outfielder Patrick Kivlehan from the Texas Rangers for a player to be named or cash.

Kivlehan went from Seattle to Texas in a five-player deal in December before returning to the Mariners in Sunday's trade.

The 26-year-old Kivlehan has yet to appear in the majors. He was with Triple-A Round Rock when the Rangers designated him for assignment May 23. He hit .184 with one homer and 16 RBIs for Round Rock.

The Mariners drafted Kivlehan in the fourth round in 2012. He played four years of football at Rutgers before playing baseball his senior season.
