YOU, AGAIN

Looking for his first win this season, Philadelphia lefty Cole Hamels makes his third start, at Washington in the opener of a four-game series between NL East foes. Hamels, who is 15-8 with a 2.59 ERA in 33 outings vs. the Nationals, allowed one run and two hits over seven innings against them last Saturday when he was opposed by Doug Fister, who starts for Washington.

BRYANT EVE?

Cubs manager Joe Maddon said he hasn't been given a date Chicago will bring prized prospect Kris Bryant to the major leagues. Speculation has increased that the Cubs could add Bryant for this weekend's series against the San Diego Padres, which would be after he has spent 12 days in the minor leagues and delayed his free-agent eligibility until after the 2021 season.

BACK IN THE LINEUP

Miami manager Mike Redmond says left fielder Christian Yelich could return to the starting lineup at the New York Mets. He hasn't played since Monday because of tightness in his back.
