A look at what's happening all around the major leagues today:

DEBUT TIME: Johnny Cueto, obtained from Cincinnati, makes his Kansas City Royals' debut when he starts at Toronto. Cueto, 7-6 with a 2.62 ERA for the Reds, is 2-0 with a 3.86 ERA in two starts against the Blue Jays.

PUSHED BACK: Clayton Kershaw (8-6), pushed back two days because of hip soreness, starts the Freeway Series opener for the Los Angeles Dodgers against the visiting Angels. He has pitched 29 consecutive scoreless innings and has thrown two shutouts in his past three starts with 38 strikeouts and no walks, taking a perfect game into the seventh inning of a win over the Mets.

WILL HE? San Diego's Ian Kennedy (6-9) is scheduled to start at Miami after the trade deadline passes, but the former 21-game winner's name has been included as someone San Diego might move.
