Keuchel picks up second straight A.L. Pitcher of the Month Award
Dallas Keuchel just keeps on impressing.
On Wednesday, the league recognized the Houston Astros ace as the American League Pitcher of the Month, making him the recipient of the award for both of the first two months of the 2015 campaign.
In May, Keuchel went 4-1 with a 2.62 ERA for the first-place Astros, while picking up 38 strikeouts and limiting hitters to a .223 batting average. Perhaps most impressively, Keuchel finished the month with two consecutive complete games, the final of which was particularly dazzling (a shutout over the Chicago White Sox).

In picking up the award, Keuchel becomes the third Astro to win two Pitcher of the Month awards in the same season, joining Andy Pettitte and Roger Clemens in that lofty category.
If he keeps up this kind of pace, it's pretty easy to see Keuchel earning a few more of these before the year is over...
