Kelly Johnson could return to Braves as early as Wednesday
The Atlanta Braves might soon be receiving a reinforcement in their outfield.
According to Kevin McAlpin of the Braves' Radio Network, manager Fredi Gonzalez said Tuesday that left fielder Kelly Johnson could return to the team as early as Wednesday, when the Braves play Game 3 of a four-game series with the San Diego Padres.

Johnson, who began a rehab assignment with the Braves' Triple-A affiliate on Monday, hasn't played for the Braves since being sidelined with an oblique injury on May 13.
Before being placed on the 15-day disabled list, Johnson was hitting .259/.310/.519 with six home runs and 18 runs batted in in 28 games.
