Jones returns to Orioles lineup

Published Jun. 19, 2015 6:49 p.m. ET

TORONTO (AP) Baltimore slugger Adam Jones is back in the lineup after missing three games with a sore right shoulder.

Jones is the designated hitter for Friday's game at Toronto, batting third. He was originally scheduled to play center field but the Orioles changed their lineup after Jones took batting practice for the first time in four days.

David Lough moves from left to center and Steve Pearce will start in left. The changes bumped Jimmy Paredes from the lineup.

Jones hurt his shoulder diving for a ball in Monday's 4-0 win over the Phillies. An MRI Tuesday showed no structural damage to Jones' shoulder.

Jones is batting a team-high .301 with 10 homers and 33 RBIs. He has hit safely in 10 of 12 games, but is 3 for 17 in his past four.
