Indications that Rockies pitching prospect Gray might get called up soon

Rockies top pitching prospect Jon Gray might be getting called up soon. There have been no official reports, but MLB.com’s Thomas Harding and the Denver Post’s Patrick Saunders both indicated on Wednesday that a call-up might be imminent.

Per MLB.com, Rockies manager Walt Weiss spoke about Gray saying:

"He's working on some things that we felt he needed to work on, and he's made a lot of progress. He's had a good month or more, and he's starting to make some noise."

After a rocky start with Triple-A Albuquerque this season, Gray has come around with a 2.87 ERA and 39 strikeouts over his last 10 starts.
