Indians righty Carrasco comes off DL, to start vs Royals

CLEVELAND (AP) Indians right-hander Carlos Carrasco has been activated from the 15-day disabled list and will start Thursday night against Kansas City.

Carrasco is making his first appearance since April 24 when he strained his left hamstring covering first base against Detroit. He was placed on the DL the following day.

Carrasco is 2-0 with a 2.45 ERA in four starts. He made one minor league rehab appearance May 28.

Rookie right-hander Mike Clevinger was optioned to Triple-A Columbus. He was 0-1 with an 8.79 ERA in three starts.
