DETROIT (AP) The Cleveland Indians have recalled right-hander Chen-Chang Lee from Triple A-Columbus, bolstering their bullpen going into a series against the AL Central-leading Detroit Tigers.

The move was made before the four-game series opener Friday night, filling the roster spot created when right-hander Zach McAllister was optioned to Columbus.

McAllister is scheduled to pitch in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader in Detroit. He was 3-5 with a 5.63 ERA in 11 starts this season with the Indians.

Lee did not factor in a decision during his first two stints this season with the Indians. He had a 4.76 ERA in 13 games before getting another shot to pitch in the majors. He was 0-1 with a 4.13 ERA and a save in 20 games for the Clippers.
