Indians place Nick Hagadone on disabled list
Indians reliever Nick Hagadone has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, the team announced Wednesday.
The left-hander is battling a lower back strain. His DL stay, the second of his career, is retroactive to July 7.
Hagdone has an ERA of 4.28 with 28 strikeouts to 12 walks in 27 1/3 innings pitched (36 appearances) this season.
To fill Hagadone's spot on the roster, the Indians have called up lefty Kyle Crockett from Triple-A Columbus.
Crockett is 2-1 with 24 strikeouts, 11 walks and a 6.33 ERA in 25 games with the Clippers this season. He joins the Indians for his third stint this season, and has not allowed a run in his past five relief appearances for Cleveland. Crockett has struck out four while walking three in 3 2/3 innings pitched for the Indians this season.
