The Cleveland Indians have agreed to minor league contracts with free agent outfielder Ryan Spilborghs and infielder Gregorio Petit.

Spilborghs spent seven seasons with Colorado. The 32-year-old is a .272 career hitter and has played all three outfield positions. His 2011 last season was shortened to 98 games because of plantar fasciitis in his right foot. He batted just .210 with three homers and 22 RBIs.

Petit (pe-TEET) has been with Texas and Oakland. He missed all of 2011 with a knee injury sustained in the Venezuelan Winter League. The 26-year-old spent 2010 with Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he hit .251 with seven homers and 53 RBIs in 130 games at shortstop.
