When Cardinals left lielder Matt Holliday lined a base hit in Wednesday night's game, he became the first National League player to safely get on base in his first 43 games of the season.
As soon as Holliday singled, the crowd at Busch Stadium honored him with a standing ovation, according to Cardinals.com.
