Harvey throws bullpen session, ready for Friday start

New York Mets starter Matt Harvey will be ready for his next start on Friday, according to ESPNNewYork.com.

There has been concern about Harvey's arm after a career-worst start in which he surrendered seven earned runs in the shortest outing of his career.

Pitching coach Dan Warthen said that Harvey threw a bullpen session on Tuesday, which went well.

Harvey will next take the mound against Dan Haren and the Miami Marlins at Citi Field on Friday.
