Former Colorado Rockies first base coach Glenallen Hill will manage the organization's top farm team in Colorado Springs this season.

Hill had coached first base with the Rockies from 2007-2012. Hill spent 13 seasons in the major leagues as an outfielder with seven different teams, including five years with the Chicago Cubs.

The Rockies announced their minor league staff on Monday, including the addition of ''development supervisors'' for each of their farm clubs.

The Rockies said those individuals, who will travel with their respective clubs, ''will creatively seek out solutions to issues and challenges, so that we establish a foundation of winning with a focus on the professional and personal development of our players.''
