Girls record run onto CWS field

TV networks usually try to avoid showing visuals on camera when some clown runs onto the field at a major sporting event. If there's no notoriety, the thinking is that less people will do it.

Well, welcome to the DIY social media age.

Three young ladies, apparently sisters, not only stormed the field at the College World Series final Tuesday night, they also tweeted their intentions and then recorded a Vine video as they did it. Larry Brown Sports has all the details, and photos.

Kayleigh Hill, Emily Hill and Torrie Hill, all from Omaha, Neb., followed through with their promise, taking off for the field during the sixth inning of UCLA's 8-0 title-clinching win over Mississippi State.

Kayleigh Hill was the one who recorded her run, posting it to Vine, although she later took it down. And her Twitter feed is now set to private, but she's the one who reportedly tweeted their plans. First she posted this:

If everyone chips in to the $1500 fine between me Emily and torrie, we will run on the field. Guys I actually really wanna

Then, as the sixth inning began, she tweeted:

2nd out we goin

Her sister Emily wasn't as bashful -- her Twitter account is still open -- and she also announced plans to storm the field.

And she boasted about it afterward.

And then she tried to make a love connection.

And it might have worked.

Consider yourself followed RT “ @motha----imhILL: I hope the guy that tackled me follows me. Shawty you was fiiiiiiine”

As for little sister Torrie, she says Emily and Kayleigh went to jail, but that she was not detained since she was a minor.

And this Mississippi State fan at least had something to take his mind off the game.
