Giants infielder Ryan Theriot reinstated from DL

San Francisco Giants infielder Ryan Theriot has been activated from the disabled list after being sidelined since May 9 with a strained right elbow.

Theriot joined the Giants on Thursday for the start of their series at Miami. Infielder Charlie Culberson was optioned to Triple-A Fresno.

Theriot was batting only .179 with one extra-base hit in 56 at-bats.
